Chadwick Chapter

Hwarang WICK Chapter is based in Songdo, South Korea. Evident in its name, the chapter consists of Chadwick International School students, ranging from Grades 6- 12. Hwarang WICK consists of 56 active members, whom all commit to at least one activity. Activities that Hwarang WICK initiate include: Go Green, where our members help sort traffic in front of the school. Tenement Volunteer, which consists three portions. Medical Volunteer, where we help professional medics in providing medical service to low income households. Work Volunteer, where we help with whatever work the members of the tenements do, for instance, cooking or creating ball-pointed pens. The final portion is Housekeeping, where a few members clean the rooms of the elderly who struggle with doing it themselves. Our third activity is Ukraine Volunteer, where we visit Ansan YT center routinely to teach Ukrainian refugee children about traditional Korean Culture, helping them settle in society. Vision Center Volunteer is where we visit the Vision Center to help multi-cultural children in Korea to catch up with school studies. We also host a variety of online classes, where we serve Guatemalan, Baikryeong-do, Ukrainian, and other communities who need help learning English. Also, we have other activities in planning such as school adoption (Malaysian, Turkish), Blood Donation, and Beach Cleanups. All members in Hwarang WICK strive to capture the very core values upon which both Hwarang and Chadwick were built upon, promoting not only the school codes of Honesty, Fairness, Responsibility, Respect and Compassion through our actions, but also to stand up as leaders within our community, helping solve major problems within the community and promote humanitarian values. While WICK restricts its membership to solely Chadwick International students, it is open to collaboration with other chapters of Hwarang.
