About Our Chapter
The Seoul Chapter of Hwarang International is a dynamic, youth-led organization composed of 23 high-achieving student leaders dedicated to driving impactful social change. The regular activities of Hwarang Seoul include (1) community safety mapping, (2) hands-on environmental plogging, (3) providing care for elderly individuals with disabilities who may feel socially neglected, and (4) collecting customized magnifying glasses out of unused glass frames to donate to those in need.
Our standard volunteering remains deeply meaningful. Yet, our executive board felt an urgent need to tackle bigger, more systematic societal issues. Therefore, we are shifting our focus heavily toward modern problems that directly affect our peers, such as teenage vaping and online illegal proxy buying.
To ensure the highest level of professionalism and safety, our core initiatives are executed in close partnership with and supported by prominent local institutions. We collaborate with the Seocho Youth Center (서초유스센터), the Gangnam Volunteer Center (강남구 자원봉사센터), and the Seocho Hanwoori Rehabilitation Center (한우리 정보문화센터).
By bridging hands-on service with high-level academic institutions, the Seoul Chapter is pioneering a sustainable, sophisticated model of youth leadership that actively tackles structural societal problems.
