Hangang

The Hwarang Hangang Chapter was established in 2023 as a service club composed of 27 students from 9th to 12th grade. With "practicing community service" as our core value, we cultivate a sense of community and responsibility through both long-term and short-term volunteer activities.

This year, the Hangang Chapter has participated in impactful service activities across various fields including environment, education, and welfare. Through the Seocho District's 'Zero Carbon Shop' campaign, we spent a month collecting and donating eight types of clean, reusable items, carrying out small but meaningful environmental conservation activities. At the Geumcheon Dream House, we visited twice a month, learning and playing together with local children and building lasting bonds. These efforts earned us a certificate of appreciation from the Participation Labor Welfare Center. We also supported the production of books for the visually impaired at the Seoul Center for the Visually Impaired, contributing to improved information accessibility. Additionally, we provided online English and Korean language classes to students in Ukraine, Vietnam, and Malaysia, promoting international solidarity and global cultural exchange.

As a short-term volunteer activity, our chapter participated in the Hanam City Disabled Rowing Indoor Championship, supporting event operations and gaining valuable experience in community engagement. All of these events were made possible through the active and voluntary efforts of our student members, who developed leadership skills and a sense of responsibility through their service.

Going forward, the Hwarang Hangang Chapter will continue to serve as a bridge connecting communities both domestically and internationally, striving to build a better society through meaningful service activities. As a community of young people who are changing the world, we will act together, grow together, and move forward together.
